The Planning and Development Review is a specialized quarterly issued by the General Secretariat of the Planning Council since 2004. It is supervised by H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Jabr bin Jassim Al Thani, Secretary General of the Planning Coucil. The Editor-in-Chief is Mr. Mohammed Ali Al Marzouqi. Editorial affairs are undertaken by Dr. Nowzad Abdul Rahman Alhiti. The Review covers the news and activities of the General Secretariat of the Planning Council and outlines reports and studies produced by the General Secretariat as well as reviews of new books and articles dealing with economic and social issues subject to the following terms:
 
- The text of an article should not exceed 1,000 words.
- The article should not be published or sent to another publication.
- The Review is entitled to publish the article in Arabic and English.
- Articles which are not published will not be returned to their authors.
- The Review will pay for published articles.
- Published articles do not necessarily reflect the Review's position.
- Articles are preferably sent by email. If this is not possible they may be sent by fax or ordinary mail.
