Human Development reports gained great importance worldwide for providing evidence about Economic and Social growth in many countries.

These indicators show the amount of education and health care people obtain as well as their wealth and participation in decision -making, and gender equity, which are of a tremendous importance in social and political life.

The Static’s Department of the General Secretariat of the Planning Council carries the burden of collecting Human Development indicators data from their original sources. Also, it has to conduct surveys and studies in order to complete the Human Development report requirements. In addition to that, the Statics Department has to provide time series that show development through time.

A team of specialists researchers in demographic, social and economic statistics has been constituted who collected data from different sources and calculated the indicators with the experience they already accumulated.
